This comedy play was a tremendous feat undertaken by Alex Mc Intosh, who wrote the play The Man Who Fell Up ,directed and appeared in the performance. To write this action packed work for his company EVODS took hard work and dedication and his second play to be very successful.
The play surrounds a disgraced politician, Tarquin Posonby Smythe played with reality and wit by Mike Fleming ,he is down on his luck and sits on a park bench with a Man on the Bench played by Alex McIntosh. Their conversation changes Tarquin’s life, who after a messy divorce has only his Yacht left.
We see all the nine characters involved in his journey all nine played remarkably by amazing Blaine Jones, how he managed this rapid costume changing appearing effortlessly and racing around at a fast pace is a miracle!!! Blaine played The Sheik Al Dabble, Alfonso the Bonecrusher,Speaker of the House,Raoul the Tango Instructor,Nigel Higginbottom,Police Commissioner, Anatoly Knockabolokov, Cockney salesman and Melody De- Ath.!!
Sadie Jones played an excellent cameo as Charity De-Ath the divorce lawyer for Tarquin’s ex wife Millicent/Honeybelle, played very well by Rose Mc Intosh, a natural on stage.
Other parts well played were Mandy Philips as Susan Higginbottom, Sharon as Sharon Williams and Susan Higginbottom, Julie Wyatt.
The star of the night had to be Blaine Jones as the nine characters, watch out for the next play he may play fifteen!!!
EVODS, Alex Mc Intosh and all the cast are to be congratulated on this play it was a night to remember.
