I do love a Revue, it gives everyone a chance to be in the spot light. I also appreciate how much hard work goes into it. This Revue was packed with old and new numbers.
Starting with “Greatest Showman” it was bound to put everyone in a good mood, and it did.
The end of act 1 “I’m a Believer” was a great way to end but before that we had everything from “man of La Mancha” to a number performed by Carl Feilding from Kinky Boots ,which I have never seen, “ Hold me in your Heart”, a lovely heartfelt performance. We had a new arrangement of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” with Maxine Stow and chorus, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Act 2 with “The Time Warp” again had our feet tapping and again, old favourites mixed with new shows. A song from “Dear Evan Hansen” sung by Ethan Cooke gave me goose bumps it was so well performed. Ending with another Greatest Showman Number “This is me” everyone left with a smile.
Everyone from youngest to “More Mature” members had worked hard and given it their all. This is a very friendly society and that shone through in this show.
Thank you for your invitation and I will see you all soon.
