Firth’s play satirises chicken pox and incontinence while other issues like schoolboy crushes, rule breaking and being teacher’s pet are also tackled.

A wide array of school uniform and nativity related items, including the odd tea towel, gave a very authentic look to this cast of adults, in their version of the school nativity.

The director led an energetic group of adults who harnessed their best seven- and eight-year-olds in this production of Firth’s play, which worked well overall. He should be proud of what was achieved.
