This play by Thomas Middleton is such an enjoyable play. I like a bit of deceit, mayhem, and murder and The Changeling had all of this. Sarah Lockyer (Director) chose her cast well and directed them to a high standard. All the actors were excellent in their parts. Having to scale it down at the last minute to inside (inclement weather) must have been difficult, but it didn’t show, as her actors were so adaptable and looked as if they knew the piece inside out.

We didn’t need lots of heavy scenery of props. Costumes were adequate and the space was too. I’m not going to single any actor out, whether they had leads or support, all in this piece of nicely directed play by Sarah gave us their all and Sarah was assisted by Ollie Graveson in direction.  Alex Rose (Alsemero), Cal Harbottle (Jasperino), Charlotte Groombridge (Beatrice/Joanna), Sophie Chadwick (Diaphanta), Ben Holliday (DeFlores), Sarah Lockyer (Vermandero), Mayan Davies (Tomazo), and Eliot Huxtable (Alonzo De Piracquo) - all of you gave exceptional performances, well done to all.
