The Addams Family -  The story of daughter Wednesday introducing her “normal” boyfriend and his family to the Addams family.

Gomez Addams played by Henley Cegielski was warm, funny and charismatic and maintained his Spanish accent well. He anchored the show with confidence.

Morticia Addams played by Melanie Colbeck-Jones was suitably elegant and charming and looked the character, however I would have liked to have heard the iconic tone while calling for ‘Gomez’

Wednesday Addams played by Samantha Gratland maintained her melancholy personality very well of this crossbow wielding stroppy teenager.

Pugsley Addams played by Alfie Ford oozed confidence, his interpretation of the character was spot on. His comedy timing and interactions were good with grandma and sister.

Uncle Fester played by Derek Williams gave a great characterisation of this loveable yet bungling character. He had a great rapport with the audience and he appeared to enjoy playing this character.  Good all round performance.

Grandma Addams played by Julie Bishop did not miss a trick in action or timing. Julie had some wonderful lines all well delivered

Mal Beineke played by Adrian Thomas put in a solid performance as the rather bemused and then humiliated Mal. Good performance.

Alice Beineke played by Jennifer Cule was seemingly timid but eventually let her hair down. Alice’s resulting transformation was handled nicely.

Lucas Beineke played by Ieuan Benney was the typical college student bewildered by what he had got into. Good performance.

The chorus of ancestors each had their own deathly personalities; extravagant costumes and gave terrific support to the principal line-up.

The set designed for this production along with costumes, choreography and make up added greatly to producing the creepy atmosphere called for.

Congratulations to all involved.
