The fact that the part of Hobby was reassigned as a male character illustrates the adaptability of this John Godber three hander, popularised as a GCSE set text in recent years. Of necessity, this was a high energy production, which the three actors maintained throughout. Apart from the many comic moments, there were also serious points made about the value of the arts in school, highlighted in some poignant scenes.
