What a show for a 100th Anniversary Year, not the easiest to sing or stage but this society managed to pull it off.

Sweeney Todd (Gareth Baskerville) carried the part well, Mrs Lovett ( Jaycee Withey) gave us some of the few comedy moments with “A little Priest” and also her lovelorn moments with Sweeny, especially clear diction when singing. Well done.

Joanna ( Lauren Hodges) a sweet and sensitive performance, and good vocally.

Tobias Ragg ( Molly Clarke) a good mature performance in what must have been a difficult role , as it was obvious from the start that it was a young lady playing the role.

The stand out performance for me was Anthony played by Simon Shelford, a great voice and good all round performance,  I have only seen this young man in revue type shows before and they did not do credit to his acting.

The chorus sang the difficult music very well and the movement, although limited due to stage size, was very well done.

The stage and lighting all gave atmosphere to this production. Well done to the stage crew for smooth transitions as I have seen the limited space you work in.

All in all a great success for your anniversary.

Thank you so much for your invitation, welcome and hospitality.
