This production was well paced and moved along nicely, not a show with a strong story line, but the enthusiastic young cast worked hard bringing the production to life, with the well known music and lyrics made famous by Cliff Richard and the Shadows.  The show, based on the film of the same title, gave lots of scope for the energetic young cast.  The eight principals, all equally matched worked well together.  Heading the cast Don (Joshua Straw) and his American girlfriend Barbara (Roisin McCallion) played their parts well.  It was a pleasure to watch the three bubbly girls as they sang and danced along with their respective partners (Don's mates) as they moved through the different countries in Europe.  The opening scene, a difficult one, was extremely well choreographed but unfortunately, we did lose some of the words.  The comedy came from Barbara's mother Stella, and her long suffering manager Jerry.  The big red bus made quite an impact, along with the little one that kept running across the stage causing much hilarity among the audience.  I loved all the sixties costumes with the frilly net underskirts, so pretty.  With a change of show, a new production team, and lots of foot tapping numbers, the Society ended up with a happy carefree production.  Well done!.
