STARLIGHT EXPRESS

I think I can only say that this production by Woodkirk Academy was just stunning, it exceeded even the very high standards that they always seem to achieve. The skating coaches did a fine job of teaching the company as they were all good or very good. The casting was outstanding throughout but special mention for Alice Schofield as Control she guided the production from the start with great confidence. Lewis Dixon (Rusty), Megan Jennings (Pearl), Oliver Seage (Greaseball) and Max Smith (Electra) all excelled among a superb set of principals. The costumes had to be seen to be believed they were fantastic. The simple stage set was effective giving lots of room for the skating and the fine orchestra and brilliant sound and lighting made this a truly magnificent production.
