Centre Stage never cease to excite with such energy and vibrancy. They put everything they have got into their shows. Starlight Express was a sheer joy to watch and a great spectacle of colour, sound and movement. The way in which the seating was arranged so that the skaters could move around easily and under tunnels etc. was inspired. Costumes were well thought out with hats depicting the different roles and each character clearly defined. Naturally for such a show ,the music is loud, but at times it was difficult to hear the words of the songs even with throat mic’s which was a pity as much of the story is explained in the words of the songs. Having said that; the orchestra had a great sound and they must have been near to exhaustion playing the whole time. Well done to them.
The whole cast need to be heartily congratulated for a wonderful performance and please forgive me by not mentioning everybody as there are far too many to mention, however I must mention a few …………Greaseball came over very well with the” I am best” “, love me” attitude and the Elvis Presley touch was just  right. Electra looked and sounded great complete with colourful Mohican wig.
Rusty did a splendid job, you just could not help feeling sorry for him. He managed to get the sympathy from the audience, all willing him to win.
Pearl was a star. What a great voice and her acting skills were superb.
The Skating was exciting to watch and everyone looked comfortable and natural, so hard work in rehearsals really paid off. A very well done on the choreography.
The lighting was very well executed and created the atmosphere required for this kind of show.

Every performance was played to full houses. Really rewarding after such hard work and commitment. This young company and their Director Sue Bonnet are to be congratulated. Thank you once again, Centre Stage, for yet another great evening.
