Once again it was a joy and a pleasure to be able to attend West Moor SIngers Spring Concert. This year it was entitled 'Memories' - songs of the 20th Century. I was unable to attend the date at the Barrington Theatre, so I went along to their earlier performance in the more intimate setting of St Marys Church Hall.

We were treated to a wonderful selection of musical numbers from the likes of  Rogers and Hammerstein, Learner & Lowe, The Gershwins, Robert & Richard Sherman, Andrew Lloyd Webber, with a Mamma Mia selection closing the first half and Les Miserables Medley to end the evening. As always it was all linked together by compare Baird with his stories and antidotes.

During the interval I was able to chat with many of the choir whilst enjoying a cup of Tea. I was amazed to discover that one of the ladies had recently celebrated her Ninetieth Birthday, she still has a fine soprano voice

It was a very enjoyable evening and it appeared to me that many of the audience were happily singing along during every number.
