John Russel’s directorial debut in Panto! All I can say is keep it up John, you excelled in this role. Iain Carter gave you a clever script to work with and you moulded your large cast onto such a small and odd shaped stage.
Set design and build was very cleverly devised by Jon Hicks, Darren Da’Val, and Maddy Carter. Choreographer Lacey Corder gave the dancers and chorus simple but effective movement, it suited them and they pulled it off. Astra Beadle coached the cast with getting them to perform their songs. Heather Gilbourne's costumes were very colourful and in period and well thought through. Matt Carter’s lighting was spot on as was Dave Wilson’s sound. Adam Harris’s props so workable, not an easy job!
With so many in this cast of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, it’s not fair of me to single out specific roles. You all gave your audience a very solid pantomime and they were with you all the way. From Dame Nursey and Snow White down to the smallest role, you excelled in enthusiasm and the camaraderie between you all. It was easy to see, and it spilled across the footlights into the audience.
United Players your Panto’s get better and better each year. John Russel this was a challenge you took on and it paid off. Well Done. Posters and programme were well presented and clear to read with excellent artwork. United Players thank you for such a warm welcome, and a great Snow White.
