The costume department really excelled themselves. Wonderful, co-ordinating colours, Gold Diggers looking great and Snow White a replica of the Disney film princess. Ross Forde and Anthony Beaumont narrated clearly throughout and the movement of such large numbers on stage was exceedingly well managed. Roxy Tansey-Hancock - Snow White on the Monday night - was quite beautiful and executed her moves gracefully, thanks to the helpers. In fact, the helpers seemed to be more numerous than usual and were pivotal in making sure all proceeded smoothly on stage. Without their tireless dedication, these shows would not happen.

Frank Bingham as the wicked Queen was almost scary, so well did he deliver his lines. His range of voice was extraordinary and he was one of the few who did not need any help.. The Gold Diggers looked good, sang well and were a great hit with the audience.

The only disappointment was the lack of a solo dance. Where was our usual Maggie Murthwaite`s much anticipated contribution? She was barely recognisable as one of the Dwarfs! Andrew Skinner, the wizard piano player was, on this occasion, cast as the King and Tony Fellows the Prince, who brings Snow White back to life.

With such a large cast, suffice to say that everyone was a winner and much appreciated by the enraptured audience. So, make a note of the date of First Act`s next production - Monday April 3rd - when they will be performing the.enigmatically entitled `In the Beginning`
