Loosely based on the Hans Christian Anderson’s tale with a bit of Disney thrown in, this panto had the ingredients to rival any other panto out there.

Rhianon Rose Goodsir [Princess of Norway] lead the cast with a very good portrayal of the character Elsa, capably supported with very good performances from Angelique Duff [Princess of Norway], Jonathan Coombs [Queen Fanny Frankfurter] and Nicholas Preen [Prince Otto].

Good was played with a fine performance by Emily Halford [Fairy of the North] while evil was in abundance by Cri Goodwin [The Snow Witch] and Shane Goodsir [Prince of the Northern Isles]. Some credible performances by the remainder of the cast Harri Herniman [Eskimo Ice Seller]. Michael Bennett [Snowman (Olaf)], Alana Frassinelli [Big Foot] and Leah jade Thomas [Little Toe].

A well-balanced cast with a variety of ages, talents and experience. The younger members of the cast were well disciplined. I particularly liked the sign language number performed by the children of the company.

Costumes we’re bright and colourful, but a special mention has to go to the dame’s costumes which we’re excellent. Scenery supplied by Scenic Property Newport and lighting by Lightsource complimented this production.

Congratulations everyone at Billboard.
