SLEEPING BEAUTY

There was much to enjoy in this very likeable pantomime. The casting was very strong in all roles with a number of outstanding performers. I was very impressed with Nick Wade (Queen Dorothy the Dame role) he performed with great confidence and exceptionally good diction I could hear every word he said. Chris Harrison (King Norbert) was most enjoyable with some very clever tongue twister lib to perform. Rob Gordon (Billy) was confident and shows a great deal of promise. Holly Greco (Fairy Peaceful) and her three fairy assistants Fairy Beautiful (Katie Hoyle) Fairy Thoughtful (Kerry Warren) and Fairy Graceful ( Anne Clarke) were a most happy combination as they battled the evil Carabosse (Katrina Beck) who was at her evil best in the Thriller number she was most ably assisted by Tilly Hamlett (Spindleshanks) . The love interest was provided by Lucie Leonard (Princess Aurora) and Niki Carter-Green (Prince Orlando) they both sung and danced with a great deal of charm and were a joy to watch. The casting was completed by Sophie Barnett (Kitty) a very interesting performer. The show was well choreographed and the production very well organised with good costumes and an excellent sound system on the Friday night which made for a most enjoyable pantomime.
