Six Teen Edition

I am ashamed to admit that I did not know this show but was keen to see it.

Pow!!! The cast exploded on the stage with high energy, slick choreography and superb vocals. This production would have graced a London stage. Very clever costumes and simple effective set along with expert sound and lighting completed the package.

The ensemble was focused and performed their numbers with style and confidence, each one a star. Well done everyone.

But of course this show is about the Queens. Each had their own character and stylish song but as a collective they rocked it. Timing and presentation first class. I was so impressed by the togetherness of these 6 young ladies. They complimented each other so well and stole the show. They are Robin Robertson (Jane Seymour), Fern Smith (Anna of Cleves), Honey Butchart (Katherine Howard), Charlotte Letford (Catherine Parr), Rose Nolan (Catherine of Aragon) and Kirsty Stewart (Anne Boleyn). The story of the show is about who suffered the most and asking the audience to choose. Well I couldn’t! Each one gave their heart to their performance and the audience loved it. Youth theatre in Dundee is in the talented hands of this company. Director Donna Bell brought out the character of the cast, Billy Muir gave them their voices and Connie Uribe gave them the moves. My thanks goes to them for an evening of pure enjoyment.
