Sister Act Jr

A first for Toppers, Sister Act Jr. their debut full scale musical!

This show only happened with a fantastic team, hard work and months of planning by Katelyn Jones their Director and her Assistant Directors and Choreographers Millie Price and Hannah Powell and all the committee Parents, many Friends and Supporters.

With Delores, Delores Van Cartier played by a very talented member of Toppers C.J.Lewis, opening in the seedy New York night club, her wonderful vocals filled the theatre with the number ‘Take Me To Heaven ‘. Then her boyfriend kills someone and she witnesses the crime and her life is in the balance .Officer Eddie Souther, very well played by Isabella Takel who tries to keep the Gangsters in order is Delores confidante and support as the Gang, a mean full of confidence performance from Curtis, Ariana Ward, Joey, Lacey-Dee Jones TJ, Ella Furber Pablo, Eloise Williams and Ernie, Mila MacGregor threaten her. All well played..

Her only way out is to join the convent and meet and ask Mother Superior Caitlin Watkins for her help and a new secret life as a Nun and join in this new life.Here, Delores now Nun Sister Mary Clarence teaches their convent choir to sing! Raise Your Voice was a showstopper!

In the convent Delores finds friends and gives her life new meaning which C.J. portrayed very well.  Mother Superior Caitlin ,a fantastic voice and excellent characterisation. Excellent support from Nuns Mary Robert Ava Kerr, Mary Patrick Maddy Carson, and Mary Lazarus Amelie Jones The nuns of every age were all outstanding . and Monsignor O’Hara,a very convincing performance by Benjamin Janota.

Brilliant choregraphy from Millie and Hannah,sound and lighting was exceptional from Matt Tovey and Stage – Vision UK

This was a huge cast and some of the Nuns were so cute and tiny and still remembering all the moves and singing their best!! Everyone played their part to make this show a brilliant success and the show was applauded throughout by this very appreciative audience,with a standing ovation in the finale.

Many thanks for your kind hospitality and warm welcome, Toppers can be proud of this first full musical well done Director Katelyn Jones, and hopefully stage more in the future!!
