This production of Sister Act Jr. was an inspirational choice of show by Kids from Crigg. It was just perfect for the very talented group of youngsters in the society. We were treated to some truly amazing performances from many of the cast. Lucie Leonard (Deloris Van Cartier) gave a fantastic mature performance with some great acting, singing and dancing. She received great support from Lulu Bradshaw as Mother Superior - again, another exceptional performance played with just the right kind of reserve the role required. Emma Hill as Curtis Jackson, Deloris's gangster boyfriend, was impressive and very confident. Tom Atkinson as Eddie Souther gave a very confident performance as he sung his big number ('I Could Be That Guy') with great conviction. Jodie-Sara Hart as Monsignor O'Hara enjoyed every minute on stage and gave a very eye-catching portrayal finding some enjoyable humour in the role. Tyler Warren as Joey, one of Curtis Jackson's gangster henchmen, gave perhaps the performance of a lifetime with a rendition of 'Lady In The Long Black Dress'. It was a brilliant polished performance and he was well supported by Kitty Bradshaw (Pablo) and James Longbottom as T.J., a young man the audience loved. The nuns were the real stars of the show - they all worked so hard and loved every minute on stage. Perhaps mention should be made of Sister Mary Robert (Ana Taylor) who sung her number 'The Life I Never Led' in fine style. The back up teams of costumes, sound and lighting all gave much to this production. I must say I loved every minute of this production and congratulations to all the production team you did a wonderful job with such a large age differential.
