There was so much to enjoy in this production of Singin' In The Rain with all its wonderful singing and dancing numbers that kept the audience tapping their feet from start to finish. The casting in all roles was extremely strong as this fine show demands. Don Lockwood (Dylan Lambert) excelled in the leading role  he danced sung and acted with complete confidence performing the title role Singin' In The Rain (with real rain!) with great style and was an absolute pleasure to watch, as was Cosmo Brown (Stuart Hutchinson) this again was a superb performance of singing and acting, his number 'Make 'Em Laugh' was just fantastic receiving the rapturous applause it deserved. The trio of main leading roles was completed by Kathy Seldon (Georgia Collins) she complemented Don and Cosmo perfectly with again some super dancing and acting with a good strong voice. Young Don (Cameron Rogers) and Young Cosmo (Darcy Beech) gave us a tapping routine to be long remembered. Dora Bailey (Christine Castle) did fine as a sort of narrator to keep the story together. Lina Lamont (Christine Shoesmith) this is a very difficult role to play keeping the most 'awful' squeaky voice up all through takes a lot of doing but Christine did it without a hitch. Two other impressive performances came from Dexter (Chris Littler-Moore) and R.F.Simpson (David Hookham) they both played their roles with supreme confidence. The choreography was outstanding and the costumes were a delight. The stage sets were excellent and the water scene was great. The orchestra gave good lively backing to the numbers the lighting was excellent as was the sound. I  know this show is very hard to produce but a few less blackouts would have helped but I did love the production.
