Farce is a notoriously difficult part of the genre to perform and the cast did well with just one or two prompts, which slowed the action down occasionally.

It's a very funny play and all the characters were well cast. Rhodri Corner gave us a very accident prone Luke James and his falls were very impressive!  Andy Bennett played the rather laid-back Daniel Warren, who was intent on not respondiong to the amorous advances of Margaret Johnson, played by Steffi Huxley who certainly gave the character all the "Vampish" attributes needed.  Chris Whittle as the Reverend Samuel Abernethy certainly didn't need a personal mike.  His delivery was great as were all his facial expressions with the brandy eventually catching up with him!  His secretary Millicent was a much quieter character and was played well by Samantha Lovick - her interpretation of how to be a vamp, following lessons from Margaret was very funny indeed. Both Wendy Knowles and Diane Hanson gave a good account of themselves in the roles of Heather Ann Faraday and Ranger Don.

The set was excellent with all the necessary doors for farce and the addition of a fire was lovely. All those backstage are to be congratulated for all the hard work that goes into a production such as this, and Directors Charissse and Warren Goddard must have had a lot of fun working with the cast during rehearsals.
