This musical extravaganza featuring both the senior and junior sections of the society lived up to its billing with numbers ranging from the rock scene, quiet sentimental, modern and comic. There was something for everyone.
The solos, duets and trios which pervaded the show were of a very high standard with special mention to Jess Lyons, Alison Wade and the quartet who performed the song “ Yes Sir That’s My Baby “ in the true tradition of an American Barber Shop Quartet.
The chorus work was excellent with co-ordination of movement in accord with the music and singing, the result being that the vigour and enthusiasm came across the footlights and thrilled an appreciative audience who must have left the  theatre at the close wanting more.
A great deal of attention was given to the costumes which were exceptional with so many changes, each depicting the show from which the songs were taken and the period to which they related.
Lighting and sound were good and aided the performance and whilst the orchestra/music group were very accomplished it was a pity that at times they overwhelmed the stage action.
Well done Wales MTC for an excellent evening’s entertainment
