Shout is a show that prevokes many happy times & memories with very well known pop music from the sixties & seventies featuring such artists as Lulu, Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black and Petula Clark to mention just a few. The rather thin story line is devised around five girls' letters to Agony Aunt Gwendolyn Holmes (Sally Holmes) I loved her costume, wig and her knitting. The five girls (Yellow Orange Blue Green and Red) all gave very strong acting and vocal performances. The narrator (John Murphy) linked the show well with a confident approach. The small orchestra was well controlled and did much to enhance the production as did the choreography together with good costumes. The lighting and sound together with the simple but most effective stage set gave us all a most enjoyable nights entertainment.'Thanks For The Memories' as Bob Hope said.
