It was an absolute pleasure to once again be at the Met Abertillery, to see the latest performance of the Mod Musical “Shout” from Abertillery Amateur Drama and Musical Society. The show is a very nostalgic trip down memory lane for the children of the sixties and features some of the most popular music of that time, when music and fashion went hand in hand.

Tila Edmunds taking on the role of Orange Girl, clearly displayed her stage skills throughout the whole performance. She has the ability to light up the stage both visually and vocally. An excellent performance.

Smooth, sassy and confident. A great performance from Amy Williams as Green Girl. Lovely stage presence, great posture and facial expression. An outstanding duet with Tila Edmunds. A very special moment in the show. Very well done.

Leah Tedstone as Red Girl made her presence felt in no uncertain terms. A real powerhouse on stage with great potential. Very well done.

A super performance from Laura Andrews as Yellow Girl. Lovely facial expression did not stop smiling and a great rendition of “Shout”. Not an easy vocal but done with confidence. Very well done.

Well done to Rhian Evans as Blue Girl. Not only successfully  taking on the stage performance but creating the musical moments of the sixties, as Musical Director. My congratulations on a job well done.

My congratulations to Rebecca Webber as the Agony Aunt, so popular in the sixties, Gwendoline Holmes. A lovely characterisation done with cynical good humour. It was good to see Simon Shelford as the “Voiceover” come out on to the stage to share the humour of his words with the audience. Facial expression is worth a million words.

My congratulations on the very authentic choreography, I believe a joint effort from the cast and helped by the lone ensemble member Kaine McElwee.

Well done to you all, “You made the Sixties Swing again.

My sincere condolences for the loss of your wonderful Chairman Robert Bayton. He would have been very proud of you all.
