An entertaining evening of songs, dances, poetry, sketches and even a lockdown pantomime. Well done Langtoft Players on a fabulous show.  Due to Covid, some of the acts were short a few voices, but everyone rallied together to bring a bright, fun show to the audience. The first act included,

The whole first act went by so quickly, so many great numbers and voices. Fabulous choreography by Michele Marshall and lots of energy.

Act Two included

Kathleen, Marc Skinner, Matt, Michele Marshall, Poppy Dalton, Rachel Munns, Sarah Kendall, Tony Munns).

I apologise if I have muddled names or missed anyone off. It would have helped if your program included who was in which part of the evening.  If you would like your program to be entered into the NODA program competition, there are a few tips on https://www.noda.org.uk/download/181/2022-2024-competition-details

Despite the heat and the lateness of the evening, the energy kept up, right to the end. A few notable outstanding moments. Tony and Rachel Munns set in the first act was excellent and got us waving, clapping, and (almost) dancing along. Gina Espinosa has a fabulous voice and an enviable skill of holding the harmonies really well. Kathleen Crichton – shone on stage, acting the whole way through, with high energy, bang on with timing, and moves a very confident performance throughout. Alice Foot, a little star in the making – acting, singing, and dancing really well done.  The scripts and poetry were written by the cast, very well done, (plus we saw the Langtoft hilarious version of Four Candles, and My Blackberry is Not Working, by the Two Ronnies.)

Martin Baines lighting and sound, including complicated projections, were excellent. With musical arrangements by Michelle Marshall, Genevieve Stocker and Tony Munns were super.  Especially as some were played live. The costumes were simple but effective and I will thank the chaperones, who often get missed in reviews, but the show would not be possible without them. Kim Crichton, Lucy Reedman, and Garry Foot.  Incidentally, Langtoft Players are looking for more volunteer chaperones, so if you are interested, please contactlangtoftplayersenq@gmail.com.

A few more smiles might have been nice, but I put that down to first night nerves. All round a confident first night which I hope led on to a successful run.
