SEX PLEASE WE’RE SIXTY

Opening with the arrival of next door neighbour at successful Rose Cottage Hotel of sex mad lothario, Bud the Stud, looking for love with the ladies who visit the hotel every year. He is convinced they arrive to meet him again, so he can entice them into his lovetrap. Bud, very well played by leather trousered Alex Mc Intosh with his Viagra fuelled libido and his oh so stylish red shoes, certainly the best way to get any woman’s attention if only men knew!

 Bud was the master of slapstick, sliding downstairs struggling with luggage, hilarious! The set was well constructed. The owner of the hotel the prim and proper Mrs Stancliffe was played with style by Jo Baynton who kept a very strict hotel and had to cope with all the goings on. This was a real farce in every sense of the word and made slick by a dedicated hard working cast who tackled this seriously saucy comedy with energy and fun 

We meet guest Henry Mitchell a retired chemist played subtly by Mike Fleming who always gives a great performance. Henry has produced an untested medication Venusia, after the goddess Venus, to increase the sex drive of menopausal women. His past colleague Hilary Hudson, nicely played by Mandy Phillips is keen to research the effects of this drug for Henry, and keen to see how women react to it, and hopes to have a result with the lady guests. She makes sure they all take the pills with the desired effect.  A famous writer Victoria Ambrose, Sian Edwards suitably in charge also staying at the Hotel hopes to obtain ideas for the completion of her latest romantic novel. Then we have Charmaine Beauregard a sex bomb who is easily led played with great conviction by Julie Wyatt. In Act 2 Bud gets his hands on the Venusia pills and the fun begins as he attempts to entertain all three women. The pills have a strange effect hot flashes mood swings and weeping!

 Bud leaves in a sad state. 

When the dust settles all the woman are empowered by the turn of events.
