Pump House Theatre presented an accomplished performance of Matthew Whittet's play "Seventeen", which was warmly received by all age groups in their wonderfully mixed audience. The story concerns five teenagers  who are celebrating their last day at school - with no more homework, teachers or rules - by partying in the local park. This of course involves much drinking, 'dancing' and singing and as the night wears on and they become more drunk, hidden passions and truths are revealed and their high spirited revelry becomes a tense confessional with unwelcome disclosures. It is customary for these teenagers to be played by mature adults, as they were here and this talented cast certainly brought their skill and experience to the production.
