District 8’s newest society producing its first musical, hit the jackpot straight away with this superbly cast and presented sell-out show enjoyed equally by adults and children, who predominated at the Saturday morning and afternoon matinees. Brilliant performances by The Boy, The Cat in the Hat and Horton the Elephant were backed up by all the other principals beautifully clearly amplified in the fine sound plot and supported by a well-drilled children’s chorus, all catching the essential style with aplomb.
