Scene Unseen 2

A group of eight short plays written by directed by and starring members of the group was a real treat.  Not enough exposure is given to the writing talent in our midst and the Wandsworth festival gave New Stagers the chance to reach a wider audience with some truly fantastic drama.

The whole thing was stripped down to the basics no set nor lighting costumes were all black with some adornment to emphasise the characters but in the main it relied on pure acting talent.  The vocal projection was excellent throughout and allowed the audience to be fully immersed in the experiences.

One thing that really struck me was the strong part mobile phones and the social media played as a backdrop to a number of the stories.  It made me realise how central these things are to modern life.
