This play was performed to its best with a strong cast and under first class directorship!
The set was superb with attention to detail .The furniture looked really authentic, the coat of arms adding a good touch.
Rough Justice is a wordy play and was superbly acted. Brian Lawless was the archetypal policeman, and Pat Peters as Margaret Casely QC gave a magnificent portrayal as the prosecuting lawyer, just a stunning performance, her timing and facial expressions were a joy to watch.
Mike Killoran as James Highwood gave the performance of his life, such a strong and convincing portrayal (I consider this the best I have seen this seasoned actor do).Anne Killoran as Jean Highwood was superb! An emotional and polished performance.
Tony Christopher as the Judge was so good, with great timing, a dry delivery and a twinkle in the eye when needed!
Two good performances from Margaret Bond as Dr Simone Kerr and Dr Hannah Radzinski played by Robin Kanarek
Jeremy Tongue played the role of Jeremy Ackroyd, the solicitor attempting to advise his client as he conducted his own defence, very convincingly.
This was a well-polished performance .the Exmouth players can be justly proud. This is a play that will be remembered for a long time dealing, as it did, with a sensitive and emotive subject. Many congratulations to all concerned, from back stage, on stage and front of house .We are always made so welcome. My thanks to all, and especially to Wendy Bishop who did a stunning job!
