This production of Robinson Crusoe was as usual up to the very high standard of excellence expected of this society. Laura Siddall was a very fine Robinson Crusoe strolling the stage with great confidence and was superbly backed up by Olivia Orr as Polly Perkins who was a most charming principal girl. David Firth as Dame Clara Crusoe was really the heart and soul of this production always coming in with quick witty asides at the right moment. Vicky Johnson gave us a most attractive and quite amusing Girl Friday. I have to say I was most impressed by the young lady (Annie Knight) who played Briny the Sea Sprite a most eyecatching performance. Kay Carter as Billy Crusoe did much to keep the show on the boil. The sets were most impressive especially the underwater scene and the super U V scene that was so well organised and performed. The music was well controlled by Phil Abbott and I must mention the super costumes. The finale costumes were simply out of this world. Congratulations to all the production team.
