ROBIN HOOD AND THE BABES IN THE WOOD

A lively and fun filled pantomime came to the Coliseum Theatre Aberdare.

A new one for me and a good script with plenty of laughs and it was interesting once you had worked out the characters from two pantomimes! This company always give their all and learn their lines and with brilliantly choreographed  moves by Bethan John it flowed along without a hitch.

Fairy Willow (Jennifer Cule) was charming as her colourful scenes of magic delighted the capacity audience who waved light sticks enthusiastically throughout.

Nottingham Castle and Sherwood Forest create visions of the beloved man Robin Hood who robbed the rich to give to the poor A good performance of Robin Hood (James Dyer) with a lovely Maid Marion (Sarah Knight) and the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham a fabulous performance by Adrian Thomas.

Experienced Dame Derek Williams brought us great humour as Nanny Fanny Foxglove and a suitably mean and cruel Lady Nightshade from Julie Griffiths.

Bailey Matthews as Jill and Joel Awad as Jack pleased all the children in the audience.

and chorus work was full of energy and powerful singing.

ACE Costumes did an outstanding costume plot and lighting, sound and backstage as usual was perfect.

Well done Derek, Michael Bethan and team.

Spirits raised with great fun and entertainment, we all went home with a rosy glow.
