This pantomime was a cocktail of many pantomime characters including Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Goldie Locks, Wolfie, Widow Twankey and a host of others. The cast was large, but the producers did well to accommodate all members of the Company in the space available. Good use of the venue itself with audience participation which was very well received.
Each member of the cast pulled out all the stops and they were supported well by a most enthusiastic chorus. There is a lot of talent in this company, not just with the principals but with other members of the chorus who noticeably put their all into every situation. It would be unfair to mention individual characters as there were so many excellent performances in this pantomime and it was evident that there had been many hours of rehearsals. I did think once or twice the ad-libs from some of the cast did detract from the piece itself, and hopefully the company will rectify this small lack of discipline in the future. A bit light on make-up with some of the characters but costumes were excellent. Music was aptly chosen to suit the pantomime and right on cue.
A good production once again from this group who are going from strength to strength – Well Done!!
