This society has been the backbone of Pantomimes in Newport for many, many years and always to a high standard. This one was no exception.
All the expected elements were there, the characters to cheer, the ones to boo and the comedy characters, and all played their parts well
Peter (Lee-Rose Walsh) and Wendy (Mollie Sheppard) a good pairing and they complimented each other well. Captain Hook (Nick Brimble) a change to see him in this type of role but he ( and the audience) obviously enjoyed it.
We are used to seeing Nathan Taylor as the Dame, in this case he was Nana, and he has this down to a fine art, a great performance form this stalwart of the Society
Comedy from Smee (George Rees), Sinker (Gerald Needs), Tootles(Jo Peel) and Nibs ( Kerry Morgan) was fast paced and with good timing.
Peter Pan ( to the delight of the young audience) actually flew and that added that extra bit of magic.
The costumes from Imagine Theatre and Marigold Costumes Ltd were bright and colourful.
The dancers, especially the younger ones, were a joy to watch, and the choreography was, as usual, good.
Thank you for your kind invitation and I look forward to your next production.
