This adaptation of J.M.Barrie's wonderful fairy story contains much of the original story lines but has a much bigger musical score and a greater amount of choreography to make it more suitable as a full blown major musical. The casting for all the principal roles maintained the high standard expected from this talented company. Sam Hague (Peter Pan) this role is more traditionally played by a girl but Sam brought a very robust approach to the part and obviously particularly enjoyed the flying sequences. Sophie Golby (Wendy Darling) is now a most accomplished performer having already played a number of senior roles she gave a most enjoyable performance and was well supported by her brothers the Darling boys Tom Skinner (John Darling) and Noah Firth (Michael Darling) who performed on the Thursday night. Kirsty Taylor (The narrator) performed her task of keeping us well informed as the show progressed in fine style. Michael Tattersall (Smee) Captain Hook's side kick provided a comedy element for the show with a clever slightly camp style that amused the audience. Without doubt the performance of the night was Ashley Booker's Captain Hook it was simply superb acting and singing with great style and most enjoyable. The children of the Sword team on the Thursday were very well organised and very confident (A bit 'Oliverish' in style). Congratulations to all involved in this most demanding show.
