This production, HAODS’ ninth annual supper theatre was such fun. As well as a wonderful theatrical performance, and an excellent set, we also enjoyed an excellent three-course supper. The play was cleverly and creatively directed, and we were treated to a fast-paced comedy full of mistaken identities and chaotic cover-ups with the odd sexual indiscretion thrown in. All occurring in the PM’s office at No. 10 Downing Street the cast worked brilliantly together with the pace never letting up. All the characters had been well cast and each of the actors had developed them so that they were distinct and had depth. The cast were obviously very comfortable together and bounced of each other with skill. The three ladies who threw off their clothes, some with great abandon were very brave and natural about it which added to the hilarity. The dialogue was clear with a lot of lovely, received pronunciation coming from the politicians and the PM’s wife. Full of physicality and wonderful facial expressions it was clear that this cast could deliver a riotous high energy farce.

Again, HAODS have proved that this is a genre of theatre that they do very well.
