The book of Our House was written by Tom Firth with Lyrics by the British Ska/pop Band Madness, it was named after one of their hit songs "Our House" and was first performed 28th October 2002.  The number "It Must be Love" was written by Labi Siffne.

This was quite a complicated plot following the life of Joe Casey, on the night of his 16th Birthday he takes Sarah the girl of his dreams to a building development near his house to show her the view over London.  The police arrive and here the story splits, it shows the two different paths that Joie could take.

A good Joe or a bad Joe, dressed in white for the  good Joe, or dressed in black for a bad Joe, two very different angles, showing how the wrong decision can shape your future.

He is watched over by his deceased father who regrets the path he chose to neglet his family and pursue a criminal career.

You definitely need a good actor for the role, we had a very impressive performance from Joe Medlockp laying the dual role of Joe Casey along with Susie Trim as who acted and sang beautifully, I adored their duet "It Must Be Love" the chemistry flowed between them.

Joe's deceased father, (Colin Harris) always in the background behind Joe throughout the show sang well.  His Irish mother (Michele Stevenson) portrayed her character with panache.

Lewis, (Brandon Swain) and Emmo (Matt Ogden) Joe's mates were a good comedy duo, along with their girlfriends Billie and Angie, (Lauren Kirk, Megan Fletcher) the four interacted well together.  Their were so many smaller character parts it is impossible to name them, they all delivered their roles effectively.

This production was full of energetic dancing from start to finish, frantic costume changes and good quick removel of props to ensure the production moved at a fast and furious pace.

Well done Woodhouse Musical Theatre Company, congratulations to all involved on this your Centenary year.
