No doubt about it nuns are very popular on stage in a musical or a play and this was a perfect play for EVODS talented company A hilarious if macabre plot with multiple Nun deaths from food poisoning and only funds for some of the funerals!  The other four Nuns with the surprise sad demise were in the freezer, used for a morgue!

Featuring the planning of a concert for as we all know it is the only way to raise funds! Funds had to be raised for the extra funerals of their four Sisters !

This was a well rehearsed cohesive cast of actors and they approached this wordy play with aplomb. Marge Crow as Reverend Mother Mary Cordelia, Mother Superior led her Sisters well, with excellent diction and stage presence she made a great duo with Sister Mary Hubert, Kay Bennett a fine soprano, who brought humour Mrs Brown style, to every scene. Both in excellent voice blending well they integrated superbly with all the cast. Some upbeat numbers in this musical play which all the cast sang enthusiastically in the groove especially I Just Want to Be a Star! Every Nun gave a good characterisation with excellent facial expressions and interaction!

Michael Fleming as Father Virgil and Alex Mc Intosh as Father Timony bounced off each other, they were perfect foils.

Congratulations Director Alex Mc Intosh and MD  Hannah Webley and team.

A great night out thank you for  this hilarious comedy.
