The Society presented it’s annual Summer Show and Fundraiser on a hot and sultry summer night and what a delightful night it turned out to be. Devised and directed by Musical Director Chris Pike the content of the show embraced a range of well known and some not so well known shows which went down well with the appreciative audience,
The evening opened with a medley of numbers presented under the heading of “Musicals Tonight” featuring the entire company and delighting the audience.
There was an excellent rendering of “Look at me” from “Witches of Eastwick” delivered with great style and panache by Danni Aston, Kayleigh Aston and Leah Collett returning from completing their stints at Drama Colleges.
Paul Morgan lent his rich tones to “The Impossible Dream” and “I won’t send roses”
An amusing number came from Lynne Bird and Clare O’Leary with “Up there on Park Avenue to the delight  of the audience.
The genial host for the evening was the ever reliable Roy Evans regaling us with a vast amount of information on the shows covered.
The Company came into it’s own with selections from “Les Miserables”, ”Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Cats” and suitably dressed each section making it come alive.
Other soloists who impressed on the night were Kim Sheehan, Richard Sommers , Caroline Street, Graham Rowlands , Sally Aston and Daimon Williams.
Many thanks for a well presented  evening – may there be many more.
