Farce is a form of theatre that when done well can really surprise you. We perhaps all remember the Bryan Rix variety that were at best cheesy and at worse painful. This was neither, a clever well written and slick farce that allowed an extremely strong cast portraying strong characters in the style to give us a real insight into the genre at its best.
Overall this was a step forward for farce and one which should be applauded.
