Natural Causes

The skill of Eric Chappell, author of many television sitcoms, shone through this comedy-thriller, with brilliantly-written dialogue, fine one-liners (with even better responses), and more hilarious mistaken identities than should be possible with only five cast members. Suicide pacts and mercy-killing may not seem like the stuff of comedy, but we all laughed without reserve at the man from “Exodus”, the Samaritan volunteer, the wife who was tired of life and her husband and secretary who weren’t, in RDS’s well-cast production.
