MORE TEA VICAR

This one act comedy had a real country feel about it. A typical situation, Botchington Church needs a new roof, – no funds. One could hear the rain dripping through the roof.

The Church Committee was well cast with a good cross section of village characters. Chaired by the Vicar – competently played by David Jennings, the Committee decides to hold a Garden Party. The set for the Garden Party was bright with fully stocked stalls including ‘tea’ served by the forgetful Agnes played by Margaret Norwood. Sian Stephenson gave us an upper crust Lady Porchester, whose shock revelations of her illicit love life emerges as the play unfolds.

Each member of the cast contributed towards the success of the production, which to the delight of the Company was attended by the author, Geoff Buckingham.

HEAVEN’S ABOVE

Set in Heaven’ waiting room, Larry – played by Geoff Skelhorn spots a mix up in the administration details of the entrants into Heaven. Sally – Sue Holt is none too pleased with being called to Heaven during an operation, whilst suicidal Bernice – Margaret Norwood was indifferent. Tennis Player Melvin Potter – John Willis completes the trio of attendees.

The piece flowed from start to finish with well-timed deliverence of the script, thus extracting the comedy of the play without hesitation, to a delighted audience.
