Moana Jr.

Dear Lynn and Team

Thank you for inviting us all to Moana Jr, a first for us and a total pleasure. It was lovely to finally see the young company on stage and with such a heart-warming production as this. Vocals, choreography and performance skills were excellent and from the eldest to the youngest company member there was a real sense of pride. I particularly liked the relationship between Moana had her Grandmother, this was beautiful especially as the young actress playing Gramma Tala is only 10 years old.

Maui and Tamotoa also showed great stage presence.

Congratulations on achieving such fluidity with the raft on the ocean, I felt this was choreographed and handled so skilfully, the dancers although there most of the time melted away so not to take focus away from the action.

The costumes were stunning and the setting was totally in keeping. Technical aspects supported the young company perfectly, with lighting enhancing the ambiance of the setting and sound balance used in conjuction with tracks worked very well never overpowering the vocals.

I look forward to seeing you all again really soon.
