Merrily We Roll Along

Taking Ricky's main musical to a more intimate and flexible venue proved to suit Sondheim's backwards-running piece perfectly, with the stage extension and the auditorium to isolate smaller scenes brilliantly used by the Director and her superb line-up of actor/singers as principals, while the versatile chorus, well costumed by the Players' Wardrobe and singing superbly, scored as everything from the Hollywood Grandees to the rooftop students watching Sputnik, as well as making the choreographed scene transitons to sung music look easy,
