Me And My Girl

In this his premiere production Dan Collier Roberts showed he is not just a talented performer but also a very credible Director. Me and My Girl arrived at the Memorial Hall full of life and exuding energy. An accomplished and polished cast led from the front by Mimi Ferrier, Malcolm Lucas, Mike Gelder and Lesley Jane Beckett, along with a strong supporting ensemble gave us a thoroughly enjoyable evening. In the lead roles Sally (Hannah Todd) , and Bill ( Chris Powell) , gave us two well matched leads. Chris a very believable character worked extremely hard to pull off an exceptional performance of comic timing and stage presence. The old cliché there are no small parts only actors came to fruition on the night I was there when Chris Coleman’s portrayal of the Constable almost stopped the show well delivered and gratefully received. An impressive and tight orchestra pit enhanced some energetic choreography which left the audience satisfied and shouting for more. Congratulations RATS but Dan will they ever let you back on the stage? Looking forward to Avenue Q and The 39 Steps.....................
