Based on the 2010 film about the female machinists who made the seat covers for Cortinas and Zephyrs at Ford's Dagenham plant and the strike for equal pay which led to the Equal pay act of 1970.

Billboard Ensemble certainly made “Made in Dagenham” their own, little did I expect to see what was put in front of my eyes by this very talented company.

A strong talented chorus complimented some excellent performances from Lisa Perry [Beryl], Charlotte Brown [Connie], Jo Higgins [Sandra], Alana Frassinelli [Clare], Lauren Farnham [Cass], Jonathan Coombs [Prime Minister], Rhiannon Rose [Barbara Castle] and Shane Goodsir [Tooley], however I have to give special mention to both Lois Banks and Rhys Deans on their portrayal of Rita and Eddie O’Grady, perfect casting.

Direction, Musical Direction and Choreography was first class. The set, props and lighting design by Lightsource Production Services complimented this production excellently.

One criticism I have is that there seemed to be issues with some microphones which were intermittent and so part of the script was missed but having said that, myself and the audience loved this production and found ourselves on our feet way before the final number had finished.

I found myself smiling all night - Congratulations Billboard!
