Made in Dagenham

This scenically difficult show ran like clockwork with the Director's brilliant co-ordination of stage crew and cast, principals fully assured in their characterisations, minor roles making immediate impact, the huge chorus of striking female sewing machinists frighteningly good as they called "Everybody Out!", and clever use of the smaller number of men. Superb singing of the mass anthems and individual numbers (well miked) and truly spectacular lighting (as unknown in 1968 but very welcome in 2017).
