It's always good to come and see a home grown production and this offering, written by Mark Davidson was most enjoyable. The story took us through the initial disappointment of Julia's love life right through to a happy ending, in company with her three friends Sally, Jo and Michelle, all giving very good and believable performances.
Tommy brought true love into Julia's life in a lovely way, but not before Rebecca tried to put the cat among the pigeons. There were also youngsters in the show and their performances added much to the enjoyment. Lovely to see the young ones involved.
A lot of imagination had gone into this piece with the songs telling the story well. At first the sound seemed rather too loud for the singers with a lot of bass but this certainly improved in the second half. The chorus gave great support to the cast and the dancing was delightful. Everyone looked good in their costumes and all those working backstage (including the catering team) are to be thanked for all their hard work. Well done to the Directors for all their work in bringing it all together.
