Little Women

It took a while for me to get into the idea of Little Women the musical since it seemed such an unusual combination.  On the night the reality was an excellent musical set against the backdrop of an ordinary family during the American Civil War and remaining faithful to the book but adding a whole new dimension to what is a classic American novel.  Brilliantly cast with some incredibly talented individuals who all gave their characters a real and credible presence this was an excellent piece of theatre.  All sang well when required which made the musical aspects good but I felt the acting and depiction of the characters took it too a much deeper level.
