The cult rock Musical "Little Shop of Horrors" was KLOS' Spring production which proved to be very popular with a wider audience appeal that usual. This is one of Alan Menken's early musicals but nevertheless the music is highly memorable and includes many different 1960s styles. Featuring a huge man-eating plant and a rather meek shop assistant, who provides it with suitable prey, this musical is doomed to have a tragic end. However a great deal of fun was to be had before the indestructible plant Audrey II was the sole survivor. Great music and a crazy story with a good cast and this was the recipe - making for a successful show.
