Lettice and Lovage

Erith Playhouse succeeded in negotiating the uneasy tension of an initially credible situation of frustrated thespian dismissed for fabricating outlandish stories to enliven her guided tours of a stately home with the increasingly farcical situation into which she draws her erstwhile employer. An impressive set accommodated performances centring on Suzannah Churchill (Lettice Douffet) and Christine Mabbott (Lottie Schoen) who extracted the available comedy while keeping their own performances within the realms of a kind of reality.
